Caithness looks largely dry with bright spells but increasingly cloudy. Also a bright start for Inverness and Nairn. Otherwise cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, becoming more persistent and occasionally heavy in the afternoon. Southerly winds slowly easing. Maximum Temperature 11C.

Cloudy through the evening with outbreaks of rain, heaviest in the west. Rain becoming patchy as it clears east overnight, allowing for some clear skies. Showers for Western Isles later. Minimum Temperature 2C.

Dry with bright or sunny spells for much of the region through the day. Blustery showers over the west coast and Hebrides will spread to all parts through the evening. Maximum Temperature 8C.

Often windy, especially in the north and west where there is potential for a spell of very strong winds to develop for a time early next week. Generally mild with any overnight frost patchy and mainly in the north. There are signs that conditions may become less disturbed heading towards the Christmas period, with the potential for high pressure to build bringing drier conditions, with the risk of overnight frost and fog patches increasing.
